Thursday, June 7th and Friday June 8th

The symposium excursions will be offered over a two-day period to allow delegates to participate in both excursions.

Space is expected to be limited, so participants are encouraged to sign up early.   Further details will be posted on the website closer to the conference date.  There will be an additional conference fee for each of these two excursions.

Excursion 1: Ice Patch Tour

Excursion 1 will include a helicopter flight to an Ice Patch located within Kwanlin Dun’s Traditional Territory (weather permitting) as well as interpretive seminars about Yukon Ice Patches and a visit to an archeological site. Click here to read the pamphlet for more information.

Excursion 2 – Kluane Tour

Excursion 2 will include a visit to the new Champagne and Aishihik Cultural Centre and the new Parks Canada Interpretive Centre located in Haines Junction at the edge of the St. Elias Mountain Range.
